Your online donations are safe and secure. The Seawater Foundation uses industry-standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption to protect the confidentiality of your personal information and the security of your transaction. Our donations are processed through a 3rd-party service, GoEMerchant, which is a VeriSign-authorized vendor. At this time, we do not use PayPal.

Our goal is to forge a long-term partnership with you, and we value and appreciate the trust that accompanies your online donation. If you donate online, your information will never be sold or rented to a third party
To serve you better, we may contact you in the future to inform you about The Seawater Foundation’s response to the needs of the world. We will offer various contact options, so you can choose how often you hear from us.
We collect credit card information from our customers so that we can process donations. We maintain this information on our secure servers for our internal processes only. We also use a credit card processing company to process donations. This company does not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

Like most web site administrators we use log files that record information such as Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and page navigation. We gather this information to track web site visitor movement in the aggregate, and to gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Our goal in gathering this information is to learn how our customers and the public are using our service. IP addresses that are recorded by our log files are not linked to personally identifiable information.

This information does NOT identify you personally. We use this Non-Personal Information to monitor the effectiveness of the Site, identify areas of interest and consider potential improvements to the Site.
